Evaluation of forensic fall from height cases aged two years and younger

Purpose: Childhood trauma is often caused by accidental or neglected falls. In this study, we aimed to evaluate demographic and clinical factors determine the incidence of falls from height in children under two years old.
 Materials Methods: The study included 106 forensic cases who presented emergency department after falling a one meter more as result an accident negligence between January 1, 2016 December 31, 2021. According level fall height, were divided into groups below 3 meters above. Clinical findings, hospitalization, mortality status used group patients.
 Results:Of 59(55.7%) male.The mean age patients was 12.89±6.80 months (p=0.002) 3.67±2.85 m (p=0.001).The Low High 1.78±0.71, 6.92±2.09 meters, respectively.Crainal fracture present 21(19.8%) high all traumatic parenchymal brain lesions except contusion seen (p=0.001). Four (3.8 %) 9(8.5%) dead died department. average victims 9.75±2.63 (p=0.001).
 Conclusion: Especially are common important cause morbidity mortality. Fall marker terms prognosis. Informing educating caregivers parents can prevent accidents neglect advance.
